Anne L. Ryan
http://www.movingtone.com
Ryan sings passionately of
everyday life, delivering gently from the heart. It is this humanity that is so all
affecting, and draws you magnetically into her songs, demanding the listener give it
full attention. For six years, she has been a leading spirit at the Cambridge Folk
Club, encouraging and promoting the acoustic folk talent that comes through its door
every Friday. Only rarely has she placed herself in the full glare on the club's
stage -- when she has, she gives a sparkling performance of soul-sensuous mood music
designed to capture and hold the listener. This will be the first live performance
of the title track Movin' Tone, with double bassist Simon H Fell,

the band will be Keith Bleasby (percussion) and Mike Bearpark (guitar). Moving Tone
will be released in June.

Colin Vearncombe [p.k.a. BLACK] and Band
www.colinvearncombe.com
Colin Vearncombe named himself Black in 1981 when he began writing, recording and
performing. Since the multi-million selling success of the three A&M LPs 'Wonderful Life',
'Comedy' and 'Black' in the late eighties and early nineties, he has become a passionate
advocate of independent music-making. He has released 5 albums since 1999 on his
own Nero Schwarz label, distributed almost exclusively via the Internet. Spring 2004
sees him undertake his biggest tour since the days of Black. Having spent the last three
years performing mostly solo, he now appears with an extended line-up, adding colour
and rhythmic verve to the space around his "voice of an angel getting down and dirty, like
marijuana melted in chocolate". His performances, already intense and joyous affairs,
promise to take you to a magical place.
"If you don't like this you may as well cut off both
ears!"
