How the Cambridge Folk Club works
Page contents
We are a live music club, embracing all styles of acoustic and folk music.
For 40 years our aim has been to provide high calibre performances for
those who enjoy listening to live music. Our performers are local,
national and international artists who are recognised as creative,
talented and original in their performances. We meet on Fridays to
promote the best in live acoustic music.

We regularly book guest artists of international repute.
On our
Open Stage
each artist is allowed a performance time of
8 minutes. Be down to the club by 7.30pm to book your slot.
Entry is free for performers. We offer talented Open Stage performers
a 25 minute support slot on our guest nights. Quarterly we promote
a ShowCase featuring the most popular and talented acts from our Open Stage.
Sound equipment is provided.
The performance area, the first floor function room with seating capacity for 150, is a listening room and is smoke free. There is a large bar on the ground floor giving plenty of room to mix and mingle with your friends.
